Donate a Computer to Help Albany's Students Learn!
Thank you for your interest in donating a computer to help Albany public school students get online and attend classes! Although the District ordered enough Chromebooks for each student, they are on backorder and have not arrived. Budget cuts have forced Albany to place all learning online for grades 7-12,  yet many households have only one device for multiple kids. We must act as soon as possible to make sure children can keep learning.

To get students online and learning, the Albany Fund for Education and the Palace Theatre are working together to collect and distribute donated computers. We do not have a budget for repairing computers and cannot accept equipment that is broken or too old to function reliably.

To ensure that students receive devices that will enable learning, please complete this screening form. If your machine is a good fit for an Albany student, we will contact you about drop-off procedures. We  will wipe all hard drives to ensure that devices are clean before distributing them

Please note - the Albany Fund for Education is a 501(c)3  non-profit and you will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible donation. As with all in-kind donations, you are responsible for providing a value for your donation or getting an appraisal for tax purposes since we are not allowed to specify a value.
