Are you looking for a puppy with a big smile who will happily wiggle over to you every time you come home? Flounder is your boy! This happy 11 month old came to us as a rescue transfer from a province that has laws restricting the ownership of bully breeds. His cheery personality is one of a kind and has stolen our hearts here at SNARL.
Flounder gets his signature wiggles from his diagnosis of cerebellar hypoplasia (or CH). CH does not cause pain, or get worse with time. The part of his brain responsible for balance and coordination, the cerebellum, is smaller than usual. Flounder is considered to have moderate CH, he uses a wheelchair or harness with a handle on it for long walks, but is unassisted in the home and in the yard. He is able to go up and down short staircases (Ie. Two steps) independently, and uses a stabilizing hand on his harness handle to go up full flights.
Flounder loves the sun! He will happily play with his toys in the yard, prance around and find a warm spot to snooze. He has made close friends with his foster siblings and will play tug or wrestle with them. Food motivated, he loves to follow you around for snacks, or have some time with his puzzle toys.
Flounder is being fostered in Denver, CO. Adoption applications for him are being accepted across the USA and Canada.
