School Site Council Application
One of the most critical committees here at Chaparral Elementary is our School Site Council (SSC). The primary responsibility of our SSC is:
1) Measure the effectiveness of improvement strategies at the school
2) Seek input from school advisory committees (ELAC, PFA/C, Staff)
3) Reaffirm or revise school goals
4) Revise improvement strategies and expenditures
5) Recommend the approved Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)to the governing board
6) Monitor implementation of the SPSA.
Representatives serve a two-year term, and all community members are invited to attend SSC meetings. Currently, our school Site Council parent representatives are, Jennifer Love, Amanda Madnick, and Leanne Smith. At this time, we have one position open on our School Site Council for the 2021-2022 school year. All interested parents and community members who wish to serve on our SSC are encouraged to complete an application form below, scan, and return it by email to school by 9:00 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2021.

All interested parents and community members who wish to serve on our SSC are encouraged to complete this application by 9:00 am by Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Depending on the response, ballots with all interested parents/community members’ names members will be sent by email on Friday, October 1, 2021. Ballots will need to be filled out and completed by Wednesday, October 6, 2021, by 9:00 am.
Votes will be tallied, and parents will be notified of the outcome through email. The first School Site Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 3:00 pm. The remaining meetings for the year will be discussed at the first meeting, but our DRAFT scheduled dates will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesdays, February 23, March 23, and May 11, 2022.
