Boat Building & Rubber Ducky Race
Teens and tweens in grades 6 through 12 can participate in a STEM competition by building a sea-worthy craft that will carry their rubber ducky to the finish line! Use any method for moving your boat– wind, battery, solar power, whatever works! Participants must register ahead of time and will receive a take-away kit filled with supplies for making a working boat. Participants will earn points toward their Summer Reading account and prizes for attending the event. Kits will be available starting June 7, 2022 and must be picked up from Billings Public Library TECH Lab. The Rubber Ducky Race will occur on June 24, 2022 at 12pm in the Billings Public Library reflecting pool, located on the first floor in front of the children’s area.

**Thank you for your enthusiasm! We have reached our limit for Boat Building kits. You may still participate using materials found at home. Some craft items (and rubber duckies!) may be available from the TECH Lab, so stop by Tuesday - Friday, 1pm - 6pm or Saturday 1pm - 5pm. Email Vanessa at justicev@billingsmt.gov for more information.

I acknowledge that there are no more Boat Building Kits available, but I would still like to participate in the race on June 24th at 12pm. *
