ECES PTO: Colorado Shakespeare Festival Funding Request
ECES PTO exists to support the students, teachers and staff in a manner that has a resounding impact on our community. Funding requests can be made throughout the year to cover additional programs, activities and educational experiences that fall outside of the school budget. Staff funding requests over $200 are sent for a vote. Through our various fundraising efforts, PTO currently has the funds available to fund this request. All parents and guardians of Eagle Crest students along with ECES teachers and staff belong to the PTO and have the ability to cast one vote for each teacher/staff request. Current financial reports are available to view on eaglecrestpto.com

Deadline to vote is Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 5 PM.

Colorado Shakespeare Festival Performance
ECES is requesting $1,500 to fund the Colorado Shakespeare Festival live performance of The Tempest for 3rd-5th graders and nine (9) 50-minute classroom violence prevention workshops for each 3rd-5th grade classroom.

The Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s touring program uses live performance and the latest school violence research to teach students. Professional actors from CSF perform an abridged Shakespeare play onsite followed by 50-minute classroom interactive workshop that help students connect situations in the play to situations they face every day.

This program has been brought to Eagle Crest for the last 15 years. For many students, this is their only experience seeing a professional production. Teachers spend time pre-teaching the play and priming the students for an impactful day.
Do you approve or disapprove of ECES PTO funding $1,500 towards the Colorado Shakespeare Festival Performance and workshops for 3rd-5th graders?
