Dust & Grain - Woodworking Competition

The winner of this competition will have their product chosen for short run manufacturing and placed in local hotels. What will you be producing? That's part of the challenge... It's a surprise!

Schedule: Applications close April 12. Competition runs from April 20 -May18, 2019.
Team: 1-4 people
Cost: $350 ($250 for Maven Makers Members)

Your $350 team cost has a $1620 value including:
 - Access to Maven Makers -  a full wood shop, space to build and store your project, equipment and safety training, 3d modeling training ($300 value)
-  $200 voucher for materials from local vendors.
- Competition T-shirt ($20 value)
- Swag Bag from Local Vendors ($100 value)
- Ticket in Raffle to win up to $1000 in prizes.

It is not guaranteed that all applicants will be able to participate. It is first come first serve to the first 15 teams so please apply as soon as possible for a chance to have a spot in the competition!

All participants must be at least 16 years of age. Any participant that is 16-17 must also have a guardian that is 18 or older on their team.

**Sponsorship Opportunity - If you are a team of students (college or highschool), veterans, differing abilities/at-risk students or adults, or a single person team you are eligible to apply for a sponsorship from local businesses that want to support you so you can enter in the competition with your fee waived. Please fill out the information below to be considered in the drawing for sponsorship. Not everyone who applies will receive a sponsorship. Please make sure you fill out the below information regarding sponsorship for your application for sponsorship to be eligible. Only up to 5 teams will be drawn for an opportunity to be sponsored in full and 2 teams for a 50% sponsorship. Single Person teams are only eligible for 50% sponsorships.
