Bill Allen, an Assistant Professor Emeritus of Science Journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia, will join us to talk about field reporting. This webinar will NOT be recorded so you don't want to miss out.
Allen is working on several books and continues to teach domestic and international field reporting on the environment, food system and natural resources. He also teaches drone journalism and science communication.
Before joining the MU faculty, Allen served 25 years as a journalist, beginning in 1977 on the police beat for the City News Bureau of Chicago and later at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Among other honors, he won the 1999 Media Spotlight Award of Amnesty International-USA and the 1998 national Engineering Journalism Award. He was a finalist for the 1998 Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting.
