REAL ID UPDATE: REAL ID Required by May 7, 2025

Alaska has received a waiver for the implementation of the Real ID Act requirements (https://www.dhs.gov/real-id/about-real-id). Alaska issued driver's licenses (REAL ID or standard) will be accepted for military access until May 7, 2025 at which time a REAL ID will be required. COVID-19 UPDATE

Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), each military installation has issued additional guidelines as required by the Department of Defense (DOD). An additional Mission Essential pass and / or approval may be required for access to a military installation at this point in time. Due to Mission Essential DOD guidelines, pass holders are no longer able to sponsor visitors onto the installation.

Length of Access

Fort Wainwright contractors will need to renew their passes every 90 days as needed.
