This is the first event for the yearlong Sawyer seminar at Rutgers-New Brunswick, "Afterlives of Liberation: Antiracist Praxis for the 21st Century," which explores how we talk about race and liberation in the academy, the arts, and through activism 50 years after the Third World Liberation struggles of the late-1960s.
