It shall be the responsibility of the Athens Community Liaison to serve as a personal contact for the BEE Club Inc. program partners, donors, donor prospects, and other stakeholders in the Athens area. The Athens Community Liaison is responsible for initiating contact with program partners, donors, donor prospects, and other stakeholders to ensure that community members are well-oriented with BEE Club Inc. initiatives and programs. The Athens Community Liaison is also responsible for connecting special stakeholders, such as public officials in local and state government, school administration, business owners, community leaders, and neighborhood influencers to BEE Club Inc. services and programs.

Additionally, the Athens Community Liaison is responsible for leading community outreach meetings with local community members to learn more about community assets, needs, and/or concerns. Following community outreach meetings, the Athens Community Liaison will share community insights with the organization’s board and internal and external publics. They may also organize follow-up meetings with certain community leaders, such as politicians, business owners, local officials, and neighborhood influencers, to spread awareness of BEE Club Inc.’s mission and community research findings.

The Athens Community Liaison is also responsible for grassroots marketing initiatives, performing marketing and sales related functions such as hosting events, making presentations, and contacting potential donors, donor prospects, and partners in an effort to help BEE Club Inc. develop strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the community. Additionally, the Athens Community Liaison is responsible for interfacing with the Athens community and openly representing BEE Club Inc. among public officials, businesses, other agencies, news outlets, and the general public. They are also responsible for working closely with the Board Secretary and Public Relations personnel to plan, prepare, and distribute written press releases and newsletters in order to increase public awareness of BEE Club Inc. activities in Athens.

In  the existence of a community relations committee, the Athens Community Liaison serves as one of the committee heads and delegates responsibilities to committee members based on set goals and objectives for the committee. Overall, the Athens Community Liaison leads the implementation of community outreach, marketing, fundraising, public relations, and relationship building activities for BEE Club Inc.
