Task Three: Jane is a blogger. She writes about her life and the house she shares with three friends in Los Angeles: Helen, Matt and David.
Read Jane's blog for this week.
It’s been an exciting week for Helen and me!

This week, a new neighbour moved into our street. Helen and I saw him washing his car in the street on Tuesday. It’s a brand new BMW. Our new neighbour is very good looking! Helen, Matt, David and I had a plan to go to the cinema on Tuesday night. The film started at 7:30 pm. It was 6:45 pm and David was trying to hurry us up, but we were watching our new neighbour washing his car!

Helen and I went out to say ‘hello’ to him. We introduced ourselves. He told us that his name was Simon. We invited him into our house for a cup of coffee and to meet Matt and David too. Matt and David made the coffee while Helen and I chatted to Simon.

Simon’s really interesting. He’s from New York. From his car, I thought he might be a lawyer, but he actually works as a journalist for a sports magazine. He travels a lot for his job, going to big basketball and baseball games around the country. He has some cool interests too. He likes going to the cinema, cooking and playing tennis.

Matt brought Simon’s coffee through into the living room, where we were chatting. David was getting worried about missing the start of the film, so he and Matt went to wait in the car. Simon looked really relaxed, so we made him another cup of coffee. In the end, David phoned to say that he was leaving in one minute. Helen and I rushed out to get in the car. We just got to the cinema on time.

I’m sure we’ll see Simon again, but I think David is a little bit jealous of him!
