ANNOUNCEMENT: Start of the project "Culture vs War" dedicated to Ukrainian artists at war and release of the first documentary of the project about the ANTYTILA band

Why is it interesting?

The Culture vs War project tells the world about the values of Ukrainian culture through the stories of artists who left their everyday lives to defend the country. A key component of the project is a series of documentaries where Ukrainian musicians, filmmakers, writers, photographers, and other cultural figures are the main protagonists telling about this war through their own stories and memories.

The heroes of the project's first film - musicians from the Ukrainian pop band "Antitila" - will take part in the event. From the first day of the full-scale invasion they stood up for the defense of Ukraine as part of the 130th Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and took part in the battles for Kyiv and Kharkiv region. As combat medics, they evacuated the wounded from the battlefield and provided first aid. Already during the war they sang with Bono and The Edge from U2. “Antytila” released a song and a music video and performed with Ed Sheeran.

It was initiated by the Association "Watch Ukrainian!" and is being implemented with the support of European Commission, the MHP-Gromadi Foundation and the Vavilon Company

Чому це цікаво?

Проєкт «Культура vs війна» розповідає світу про цінності української культури через історії митців, які залишили своє звичне життя та стали на захист України. Ключова складова проєкту - цикл документальних фільмів, в яких його герої - українські музиканти, кінематографісти, письменники, фотографи та інші культурні діячі - розкажуть про цю війну через власні історії та спогади.

У заході візьмуть участь герої першого фільму проєкту - музиканти українського поп-гурту «Антитіла». Вони з першого дня повномасштабного вторгнення стали на захист України у складі бойового 130 батальйону ТРО ЗСУ і брали безпосередню участь у боях за Київ та Харківську область. Як бойові медики евакуювали поранених з поля бою та надавали першу медичну допомогу. Вже під час війни вони співали разом з Боно та The Edge з U2. Випустили спільну пісню та кліп, а також виступили разом на одній сцені з Едом Шираном.

Проєкт створено у форматі виключно документальних свідчень.
Ініційовано Асоціацією «Дивись українське!» та реалізується за підтримки  Єврокомісії, Фонду «МХП-Громаді» та компанії «Вавілон».
