ROBOTICON 2023 Volunteer Registration
ROBOTICON is volunteer powered, and we appreciate all the amazing time, expertise, kindness and support all our volunteers bring to the event.  ROBOTICON 2023 will run throughout October, with different STEAM competitions, tournaments and scrimmages running at different times throughout University Mall and inside the Fab Lab itself.  Volunteers receive a continental breakfast and/or lunch, depending on shifts worked, as well an event shirt and other perks.

The FIRST Robotics Competition off-season tournament will be held Oct. 7 & 8 at Brooks DeBartelo Collegiate High School, about 2 miles from AMRoC Fab Lab. 

The rest of the event will be held in and around AMRoC Fab Lab at University Mall, much as we did last year:
  • Oct 14 -Elementary & Middle School VEX IQ -  & FIRST LEGO League Showcase (elementary school)  
  • Oct 21 - ROBOTICON Rumble Combat Robotics (all ages) + Aerial Drone Competition (middle and high school) 
  • Oct 28 - VEX Robotics Competition tournament  & FIRST Tech Challenge demos  - both middle and high school
For the FRC event, we need set up and break down volunteers, as well as general competition volunteers throughout the weekend, including emcees and game announcers, queuers, pit admin, refs, field reset, and guest services. 

For the VEX events, we need all of the above, as well as volunteers for judging.

For combat robotics, we need queuers, pit admin, safety and technical support, refs, and judges. 

Please note: For Volunteers who are part of the USF College of Education STEM Pre-Service Teachers class, please put your professor's name in the comment section so class credit can be given.
