MI Conference UMC Young Adult summer intern program applications are officially open for 2023! Young Adult Summer Employment Opportunities with the MI UMC are not only paid, but they're also; a great resume builder, meaningful, geared toward your interests, designed to address justice issues including generational poverty & anti-bias/anti-racism, and able to help you develop leadership skills, created to support local communities. Apply to be on overnight residential camping staff where you will lead programming for children and youth, teach at a summer kid's camp at a local church or lead at a CDF-Freedom School in Detroit or Flint or work at a non-profit serving unhoused persons in Detroit or housing repair in the U.P. Leadership Develop Training May, 2023 followed by  Site Orientation in June 
$15 an hour for non-profit sites and  $600 weekly stipend for overnight camps.

Summer Ministry Interns are required to attend the following:
1.May leadership training followed by site training
2.Complete the Safe Gatherings online child abuse prevention course (paid by the program)
3.Complete the Intercultural Development Inventory and a Q & A follow up conversation with a facilitator.
4.Weekly all intern zoom meet up and check in.
*Interns will be paid to attend all of the above.
