2024 PedANP Call for Abstracts
Inaugural Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians Conference
October 11-13, 2024
Tapatio Cliffs Resort ~ Phoenix, AZ, USA

The Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PedANP) has opened a Call for Abstracts from individuals interested in presenting at the Association’s 1st Naturopathic Pediatric Conference.

ABOUT THE PedANP

The PedANP is a professional organization with a membership of licensed naturopathic physicians (NDs) and naturopathic medical students from across North America. Established in 2008, the PedANP is a recognized affiliate of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). The vision of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians is to shape and influence the policies and educational programs of naturopathic medicine that directly affect our approach to children’s healthcare.

The PedANP Conference Committee is looking for ALL healthcare and research professionals who have something to contribute to the integrative pediatric care model. The PedANP advocates for collaboration with conventional providers and is dedicated to advancing the science and application of naturopathic medicine alongside the field of conventional care.

The PedANP will consider presentations that advance the practice of naturopathic pediatrics as well as topics that have clinical relevance to physicians with a pediatric patient-base. A significant portion of each lecture should include the clinical application of the knowledge presented. This may include case presentations, clinical pearls, practical skills, and/or knowledge that attendees may put into practice on Monday morning.

While open to all topics related to the practice of pediatrics, these areas have generated the most interest in prior conferences:

1. ADHD
2. Dermatology
3. Autism
4. PANS/PANDAS
5. Depression/Anxiety in Teens
6. Speech/Developmental Delays
7. Food Allergies

Abstract submissions are due by Monday, May 20 at 9pm PDT/11:59pm EDT - NO EXCEPTIONS.

*** IMPORANT NOTE: The online abstract submissions must be performed in one session, so it is recommended that you have a working document that you can save and go back to if you are not prepared to complete everything at once.

The selection committee will evaluate all abstracts. Final speaker selection will be made by June 20th. Final PowerPoints will be due September 23rd. All presentations will then undergo peer review by the conference content committee prior to the conference with feedback sent to presenters. The FINAL Final presentations will be expected to incorporate these critiques and will be due October 3, 2024.

The abstracts will be evaluated by the following criteria:
Value of the learning objectives
Clarity of thought
Relevance to clinical practice
Absence of commercial influence and focus
Incorporation of clinical experience

Qualifications for submitting an abstract:
1. Individuals must have been a licensed healthcare practitioner for at least 5 years, a medical researcher or, if other, please specify.

Should any conflicts of interest arise after confirmation as a presenter, it is incumbent upon the presenter to notify the OncANP Conference Committee immediately and prior to the presentation. The intent of this policy is not to prevent individuals from participating, but rather to identify and resolve any conflicts of interest. Should resolution be impossible, the individual cannot be a presenter. Resolution methods may include, but not be limited to, one or more of the following:

A.   OncANP Conference Committee (for conference presentations), or Professional Education Committee (for webinars), peer review of content prior to the activity to ensure evidence-based content using best available, highest strength of evidence. The presenter must be responsive to revision requirements offered by the committee.
