An American Dream                                Student Matinee Performance
Opera Santa Barbara invites your students to a free, student invited dress rehearsal of An American Dream by Jack Perla and Jessica Murphy-Moo.  The rehearsal takes place on Thursday, February 16th, 2023 from 10AM-12PM at the Lobero Theatre.  

Opera Santa Barbara will cover transportation costs, but schools will be required to arrange transportation services for their students to the Lobero Theatre. 

Jack Perla’s compelling American opera tells the story of treasured possessions becoming symbols of lost home for two women in the midst of conflict in World War II: A Japanese American facing incarceration, and a German Jewish immigrant haunted by the ghosts of those she left behind.

Reservations for this rehearsal will be made on a first come, first served basis.  Should demand for this event exceed the theatre's capacity of 570 seats, OperaSB will add you to our waitlist should any space become available. If you have any questions, please email tim@operasb.org
