Birmingham Community Safety Resilience Framework
Birmingham City Council is developing a community safety resilience framework. In part, this aims to detail how the Council and partner agencies should engage and work with residents/local groups in the future when community safety initiatives are planned. We also need a better understanding of your key concerns that most impact upon your quality of life and the best way to work to address these. We would welcome your views on the following key topics.

Please take the time to answer the questionnaire as thoroughly as possible, commenting on all subject areas where you feel able to do so. Any specific comments used in the research will be anonymised.

In what area of Birmingham do you live?
What issues (this could be specific crime types, environmental concerns etc) most impact upon you and your family's quality of life and feelings of safety?
Are there any local processes, groups or meetings that you use or attend that enable you to raise or address any of these issues?
Thinking about your answer to the previous question, how effective are these processes, groups or meetings? What changes would you like to see that would help you to be or feel more involved?
Let's take a hypothetical example of something new being planned in your area which relates to community safety. This could be a wide range of things such as introducing CCTV, traffic calming measures, a new youth facility or a public protection order. How would you like to see Birmingham Council, West Midlands Police or other agencies work with you and the wider community to plan and implement these?

Do you have any other comments you would like to make?
