Thank you for your interest in attending and/or volunteering at the 2024 Affinity Ceremonies for Cal State Monterey Bay graduating students.
About Affinity CeremoniesAffinity Ceremonies honor the accomplishments and experiences of Cal State Monterey Bay graduates from hxstorically underrepresented communities. We celebrate students' personal success and academic achievements in the spirit and traditions of their representative community. The Affinity Ceremonies are dedicated to our 2024 graduating class, their supporters, families, mentors, and everyone that helped them along the way! There are nine Cal State Monterey Bay Affinity Ceremonies for graduating students: Asian Pacific Islander and Desi American (APIDA) Ceremony; Black/African Heritage Ceremony; Latiné Ceremony; Family Friendly (student parents) Ceremony; Native American Ceremony; Students with Disabilities (SADE) Ceremony; Rainbow (LGBTQ+) Ceremony; UndocuOtter (undocumented, mixed status family) Ceremony; and Veteran (U.S. Armed Forces) Ceremony.
Your participation and support ensure that we are able to continue to organize culturally meaningful celebrations. All events are voluntary, but we hope to see our Otter staff and faculty participate. Please communicate or seek approval with your supervisor when attending campus events during normal working hours.
