High-level Radioactive Waste (HLW) questionnaire
This questionnaire is edited by international students and instructors in Waseda University as part of educational and research contents in SHIP program (https://www.cse.sci.waseda.ac.jp/about/ship/). The objective of this questionnaire is to know public's understanding and concerns on HLW. The questionnaire results will be used only for educational and research purposes. High-level radioactive wastes are the highly radioactive materials produced as a byproduct of the reactions that occur inside nuclear reactors. High-level wastes take one of two forms: Spent (used) reactor fuel when it is accepted for disposal; Waste materials remaining after spent fuel is reprocessed.
