refugeecampimn@gmail.com Refugee Camp in My Neighbourhood is a simulated refugee journey. Tour guides, who are former refugees or currently seeking asylum, guide participants through the interactive exhibition. Throughout the tour you’ll discover the stories and experiences of many local residents as you experience what it’s like to flee your country and try to find safety.
Interactive school tours will run from Monday 29 July - Thursday 15 August 2024.
In 2021, a new pricing model was introduced to cover the project costs. The fee for school students is $35 per student. We understand not all students can afford this. Please indicate in this EOI form if your school would like to be considered for a discount.
This is the first round of bookings for schools wanting to take a tour of Refugee Camp in My Neighbourhood in 2024. Adult charges apply if more than 2 adults per group ($35 per adult).
Tours run for approximately 2 hours including a debrief session. Tours run every half hour - the
first tour starts at 9:30am and the last tour starts at 12.30pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start
time.
