PRS Foundation and British Council are inviting Expressions of Interest form Musicians for the below digital residency opportunities which will involve four Musicians working on digital residencies in below destinations where one Musician will be assigned to each place.

Music Creator Profile

We are looking for music creators who:

•        are based in the United Kingdom;
•        are able to commit the time necessary to fully make the most of this opportunity;
•        create high quality original new music;
•        are curious, creative and innovative;
•        are ready for this opportunity, have some international experience and would know how to maximise its benefits for future creative and professional development;
•        must be able to respond to and work within an exciting and potentially challenging digital environment;
have good communication skills, an open, adventurous and collaborative approach, and would be prepared to devise public engagement/educational activities that would generate local interest in their residency, all while working remotely;

As these are digital residencies, it is important that musicians are able to find creative ways to engage with the places that they will be working with in a digital way, this could be by using outreach sessions with local groups, remote recordings or via a social media platform and other creative approaches.

* We are open to creators who write and perform their own work and to creators who would write music for others to perform, but would play an active role in organising any performances as well as creating the music. Our final decisions will be based on the quality of each individual application.
