Democracy requires you to show up. Regardless of your political affiliation, all college students should be encouraged to vote if they’re eligible. On Tuesday September 22, colleges around the country will celebrate National Voter Registration Day. Join in the festivities by opting-in to the UD TurboVote competition for September 15 – 22.

Due to the limitations of in-person engagement from COVID-19, the University of Delaware is proud to launch a virtual competition where any friend group, team, RSO, or individual can opt-in using this form to receive a custom TurboVote referral link to sign-up for TurboVote. Encourage your friends and family to use your link, people who are not a part of your organization will can be counted towards your goal too! Sign-ups will begin to count for your organization from September 15 through September 22.

The competition is simple. Once you have your unique URL that you'll receive on September 14, you can begin sending it out to anyone on September 15. Share the link with your members or friends to cast a wider net. Each day at 5:00PM EST, the competition leaderboard will update so you can see who is in the lead!

What is TurboVote?
• An online service to help people vote in every election (local, state, and national)
• Simplifies the voter registration process
• People can obtain absentee ballots, which can sometimes be a barrier to out-of-state students participating in the democratic process.
• Sends reminders about upcoming elections; details on your polling place and times. So you should still register for TurboVote even if you’re already registered to vote!

Groups and individuals that participate in this competition will be eligible for prizes! The group or individual who
registers the most people to sign up for TurboVote will win the grand prize. Additionally, there will be a lottery prize for one individual, selected at random, who signs up between September 15 - 22.
