Classified Senate has a key role in appointing classified professionals to shared governance bodies.  Meaningful, timely, and inclusive college dialogue helps inform the work we all do.  Your participation is important, not just for your area, but for our collective efforts.  Classified Senate, SEIU, and LPC Administration have expressed a commitment to supporting classified professionals in these important roles.

"The purpose of the Las Positas College shared governance process is to develop a method for collegial consultation that appropriately involves staff, faculty, and students in the planning and operation of the College. This inclusion brings with it the responsibility and obligation on the part of all members of the campus community to fully participate in and be open to the collegial process.
