PNW Hydro Think Tank Application                August 16-18, 2022 -Deadline to apply is May 15th!
WHAT: The Hydro Think Tank™ is a competition where you will be placed in a team and asked to solve a problem associated with impacts of climate change and hydropower operations in the Columbia River Basin. You will attend sessions presented by members of the hydro community on various topics related to your future career (i.e. working in teams, public speaking, career application process.)

PRIZES: The Hydropower Foundation will award first, second, and third-place winners with American Express gift cards.

WHY: The Hydro Think Tank™  is an experience like no other. It provides you with the following benefits:
       • Build relationships with fellow renewable energy enthusiasts
       • The opportunity to network with major U.S. Companies and industry leaders
       • Add a unique experience to your resume and have your resume reviewed by hydropower industry
               leaders
       • Meet industry professionals who can serve as mentors

               industry
       • Learn more about how renewable resources work and better appreciate the basics of real-world power and energy system planning.
       • Potential for an internship with one of the partner organizations

WHO: Undergraduate and Community College students with experience in a mix of disciplines like: trades; engineering, science and environment, computer science, students interested in an internship in hydropower.

WHERE: The three and a half-day competition will be held at Grand Coulee Dam. You are responsible for your transportation to Grand Coulee. Lodging and meals will be provided by the Hydropower Foundation.

WHEN: August 16-18, 2022. The deadline to apply is May 15th! If you are selected, you will be notified by June 1, 2021.

**Grand Coulee Dam is managed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and requires that all visitors provide proof of vaccination. If you cannot provide this, you will not be selected to participate. Thank you for your understanding
