Peer Counseling Application for Future 7th Graders
Peer counseling is a program in which students are trained to help fellow intermediate and elementary students with concerns faced in adolescence. The goal is not to give advice, but to guide others to develop their own solutions. Student leadership skills are also emphasized. Training sessions in peer mediation, conflict resolution, non-judgmental responses, and confidentiality is required.
