America House Chisinau invites high school students to a writing and research workshop.
The workshop will focus mainly on introducing high schoolers to scientific writing and research, offering them first-hand experience in developing a scientific article while also providing networking opportunities within the STEM field.
The mechanisms for achieving this are: keynote sessions (introducing general notions of research and scientific writing), discussions with STEM researchers from the USA (including Stanford professors and students, thus providing networking opportunities), and group work.
After the workshop, the participants will be able to write their own scientific articles based on a STEM subject of their choice.
The workshop will be provided by Dr. Bomyi Lim - Assistant Professor of Biomolecular and Chemical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and Sophia Risin - a freshman at UC Berkeley and an alumna of Stanford University’s Online High School.
