MECA Tutor Application

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our after-school program as Volunteer Tutors. As a Volunteer Tutor, you will be crucial in supporting and enriching students' academic experience in our program. This is an excellent opportunity to positively impact young learners' lives and contribute to their educational success.

To sign up to be a volunteer, you must:

1. Be 16 years old or older.

2. Complete a MECA volunteer form before your begin volunteering.

Volunteer Agreement and Code of Conduct 

As a Volunteer Tutor for the MECA's after-school program, I agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct:

  1. Professionalism: I will conduct myself in a professional manner at all times, treating students, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect and courtesy.
  2. Reliability: I will fulfill my commitment to scheduled tutoring sessions and communicate promptly if I am unable to attend.
  3. Confidentiality: I will respect the privacy of students and will not disclose any confidential information without proper authorization.
  4. Punctuality: I will arrive on time for tutoring sessions and other scheduled commitments.
  5. Preparation: I will adequately prepare for tutoring sessions, familiarizing myself with the curriculum and materials relevant to the student's needs.
  6. Communication: I will maintain open and transparent communication with program coordinators, teachers, and parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
  7. Positive Environment: I will contribute to fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment for students.
