This workshop focuses on using Zotero, a free, open source tool for citation management. There will also be opportunities to ask general questions about citing works and giving credit.

In this workshop you will use Tropy to organize your creative or academic research images. We will also discuss best practices for preserving digital images and the basics of image copyright.
2/28: File Fiercely
File management may sound boring, but building a consistent practice is key to making your research life easier. Learn more about managing and keeping your digital files safe at this workshop.
3/6: Reference Rabbit Hole
We all know about YouTube Rabbit Holes, but have you fallen down a Reference Rabbit Hole? We’ll demo strategies to expand your reach, follow the trails researchers leave behind, and maximize the gathering stage of your research!
3/13: Hot Topic: AI Tools
AI is a fast-growing and evolving area for researchers. We’re asking questions like: How can we responsibly use AI for our research? What can AI do, and what can’t it do to streamline our work? What tools are out there? Join us for discussion and demos as we explore this hot topic and share practical tips.
3/20: Research Beyond SAIC
Have you wondered how you’ll do research once you don’t have access to Flaxman’s databases and resources? This workshop will focus on using common tools to find open resources and other useful information on the open web so you can enhance your research and continue beyond your time at SAIC.
