I hereby agree to check in at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA offices upon my arrival and sign a liability waiver for the use of the CalArts Floor. All CalArts Floor Users must submit a description of their intended usage of the floor, including acoustic requirements that will be allowed pending approval, length of use, use of professional documentation and max number of participants, at least 48 hours in advance of their requested reservation. This proposal must be explicitly approved by MOCA before a CalArts Floor reservation is officially approved. MOCA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE RESERVATIONS FOR ANY REASONS. All CalArts Floor Users must be over 21 years of age. All CalArts Floor Users are aware that they are using the floor during opening hours of the museum and that the audience of the museum is allowed to access the space where the floor is installed. All CalArts Floor Users agree that any activities they offer on the floor must be free, may it be open to all audiences or not. All CalArts Floor Users must restrict any usage to the physical boundaries of the floor: no usage of gardens and other rooms of the museum. The following are forbidden on the CalArts Floor and at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA: open flames or flammable substances, nudity, food, drinks, animals, or any other action deemed by MOCA to be potentially hazardous to visitors or the museum. The use of audio and visuals have to be approved in advance. If audio or visuals are required for your session, participants are asked to provide their own minimal equipment. MOCA will not provide any technical support. Acceptable forms of equipment are items that can be easily plugged into our outlets (shown on floor plan) and played by participant. Volume must be reasonable. Nothing can be stored or left in the space after your session. Access to power outlets or WiFi must be approved by MOCA prior arrival. Any professional photography or video must be approved by MOCA prior arrival. MOCA and CalArts are not responsible for the theft or damage to any of CalArts Floor User’s personal items. Smoking/vaping is not permitted on the grounds of The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. Any violation of the above will result in the immediate termination of CalArts Floor User’s reserved session, and CalArts Floor User being escorted from the property. *
