Below is the overview of the tournament.
Dates: March 30th/31st (Easter Weekend)
Location: The Edge, University of Leeds, Leeds, UK
Format: indoor, hardcourt, 5v5
Division: Lax mixed - minimum of 2 of each gender but no obligation to match.
It is completely unacceptable to be playing 4:1.
If you are caught doing so, you will be met with a great wrath, shouting and the potential for forfeit.
Number of Teams: maximum 16
Number of Pitches: 3
Number of games per team: minimum 9
Maximum number of players per team: 10
Game length: ~20 minute pool games; ~25 minute crossovers
Team Fee: £130
Schedule: Saturday game play will be between 09.00-15.00.
Sunday game play will be between 09.00-15.00.
These are reduced hours due to the Easter weekend. There is no guarantee that the teams playing last games on either day will have access to the showers but we will aim to accommodate for that where possible.
If not staying overnight in Leeds, please ensure your team is available for a 09.00 Sunday morning game as we may not be able to accommodate otherwise.
Accommodation: Scout hut is provided on Saturday night (included in team fee- first come, first served).
Pick-Up Rules and Rosters Will Apply:
- Under no circumstances can a team acquire a pickup for single, one-off games.
- A pickup player should be used for the entirety of the tournament, meaning they must play all games (unless injured).
- An exception can be that the player can only participate for one of the two days, but must play all games on that day (unless injured).
- A player is only allowed to play for a maximum of two teams. If it is discovered that a team is playing with a non-rostered player, that game will be forfeited.
Registration will soft close February 23rd or when the tournament is full. We will always keep a waiting list if it ever comes to it! This will be prioritised on a combination of past participation and competition level for those signed up before February 23rd at 23.59. Then, we will go through prioritisation for those who signed up from February 24th.
We may be hosting a party on the Saturday late afternoon/night but have yet to figure out those details.
