Farmington R-7 Wellness 2021-Call for Proposals
Farmington School District will host our 5th annual health & wellness fair for all FSD staff members on  February 12, 2021.  Our guiding principles for Wellness 2021 will be the implementation of the ASCD and CDC Whole School Whole Community Whole Child model.  Wellness 2021 will provide breakout sessions which address both student and staff wellness topics.

We are looking for people who are willing to pre-record sessions, do limited appointment only in-seat sessions as well as live sessions where participants can chat and ask questions. We hope to be able to successfully offer a hybrid model that will fit the needs of everyone.

We encourage all interested parties to submit presentation proposals for "Wellness 2021" professional development day.   We are seeking presentations which will address the following health and wellness strands:

Health Education
Nutrition Environment & Services
Employee Wellness
Social & Emotional School Climate
Physical Environment
Health Services
Counseling, Psychological, & Social Services
Community Involvement
Family Engagement
Physical Education & Physical Activity

It is anticipated that each session will be approximately 50 minutes in length and repeated 3 times during the morning if "in person." These sessions will be held in variety of rooms and gymnasiums throughout the Farmington High School. Other offerings we hope to offer are "LIVE presentations using split screen google meet where participants can chat and ask questions. The last offering will be pre-recorded sessions that will be accessible for the remainder of the year.

DEADLINE FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION -JANUARY 8th, 2021.  

Each proposal will be reviewed by the district Wellness planning group. All  who submit a proposal will be notified by January 15th, 2020 to ensure adequate plan time.
