Crossing Paths Registration Form
Announcing Crossing Paths, the newest version of the Neighboring Faiths program designed to introduce middle school youth to different world faiths as they are practiced in America. This year, UU families from Heritage UU (Cincinnati), Thomas Jefferson (Louisville) and First Unitarian (Louisville) will be learning together in an online Zoom environment. Your youth will learn about world religions while getting to know other UU youth too!
Zoom classes will be held on Sunday afternoons beginning at 12:30 p.m. from mid-Sept through May. Sessions might include participating in online worship, interviewing a guest speaker, or viewing pre-recorded videos of different faith practices with a healthy dose of games and fun mixed in!
Our sessions will begin with a mandatory orientation session on September 13th. Our expectation is that youth will attend every Sunday to build community and trust as well as maintaining continuity. Holiday breaks will be built into the schedule and yes, we know, life happens. The more your youth participates, the more they will get out of the class.
Questions should be directed to your church's RE professional — DLFE Barb Friedland; DRE Loren Crawford; and AMRE Rev. Leslie Woodward. We're excited about getting our youth together for this awesome program!
