YAMM Ellis Effect

Program Overview
The Ellis Effect is a program that guides boys ages 12-16 to get the guidance they need in their boy to young man transition as they represent the young men of YAMM in public appearances. Mix with Model ART (Aggression Replacement Training). YAMM uses communication and self-control exercises to influence anger management behavior to a positive height of self-control and conflict solving resolutions. A Better Anger Management Solution.

Important Information
What is the purpose of Project EOG?
The purpose of The Ellis Effect mixed with Model ART is to aid boys as they become young men.

What about transportation?
We will try our best to make sure we provide the program in the neighborhood to make sure parent do not have to provide transportation for youth to get to our program. It is the responsibility of the parents to provide transportation for the student to attend all sessions. YAMM does not provide transportation. We do welcome parent carpools. Please speak with the program coordinator about carpooling.

Who are the mentors and program administrators?
Mentors and program administrators are Forsyth County and Guilford County residents, university students and high school from a variety of different backgrounds. Mentors have a variety of motivations for getting involved with the program. We make sure all mentors and program administrators want to be a positive role model in a child’s life.

What is the snow schedule?
We operate on the WSFCS snow calendar. Therefore, if the WSFCS has canceled school due to inclement weather, we will not run The Ellis Effect program.
