This form is intended to record individuals who are potentially interested in being a member of the Global Health Club. Please note that the organization is intended to engage member across all departments and majors on campus- you do NOT have to be a global health major!

The purpose of the Global Health Club is:
● To serve as a resource/platform for Global Health research/discussion/career opportunities to students at Luther. Topics could include COVID-19+ past outbreaks, water, sanitation, and malnutrition, access to medicine/healthcare, determinants of health, maternal health, International laws and policies, GH leaders and org, and many more.
● To raise awareness for health issues that affect people all over the world by celebrating World Health Day (April 7, 2022), and other health issues such as World AIDS Day (Dec 1, 2021), The Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October 2022), World Malaria Day (April 25, 2022) and many more.
● To educate the student body about foreign medical cultures and ongoing global health crises in order to increase our involvement in the broader Global Health community outside Luther College.
● To discuss health equity on a broad spectrum, by having guest speakers, advocating for solutions to the ongoing global health crises, encouraging the student body in their power of decision making and freedom to raise their concerns.
● To educate the student body about building a fairer healthier world for everyone everywhere by primarily stressing the complex idea of intersectionality of the Global Health field.
● To work with other organizations & departments on campus to work towards an inclusive and intersectional perspective on Global Health
