Welcome to Columbia from your union, the Columbia Postdoctoral Workers!
On Thursday, November 3, the Columbia Postdoctoral Workers will host an orientation and social to help new postdocs, associate research scientists, and fellows get acquainted with your union. We will also discuss how our victories in our contract affect you (for example, did you know that we successfully negotiated to increase the minimum postdoc salary from $48,000 to $60,000?), and how we can win more in the upcoming contract campaign.
Following immediately after the orientation, we will be holding a social with food and drinks! Please come learn about the union, get tips on how to navigate Columbia's systems, and meet other workers.
