さまざまな事情で、義務教育を受けられなかった人は日本に約９０万人。宮崎市では、2024年度から、県内で初めてとなる夜間中学が開校されます。学べなかったことを自分のせいにしてひっそりと生きてきた人々に、学びの場を提供し、自分のせいではない、今からでも遅くない、ぜひ学んで欲しいと、呼びかけ伝えるには、何ができるでしょうか？この上映会とトークセッションでは、「学ぶことは生きること」「全ての人に学ぶ権利がある」をテーマに語り合います。
講師紹介：添田祥史 宮崎県門川庁町出身。福岡大学人文学部准教授で、教育学を専門としている。夜間中学や職事教育に関する著作や論文が多数あり、自主夜間中学の運営にも携わってきた経験がある。現在、九州で唯一の公立夜間中学である福岡市福岡きぼう中学校のスクールサポーター会議委員、基礎教育保障学会事務局長、北九州公立夜間中学校を考える会議座長、文部科学省「夜間中学促進・充実委員会」委員。

Documentary Movie "Konbanwa II" (Night Junior High School) and Talk Session

For various reasons, 900,000 people in Japan have not been able to finish compulsory education. In 2024, Miyazaki city will open a night junior high school for the first time in the prefecture. Many people who did not finish compulsory education live quietly, often blaming themselves for their inability to learn. How can we tell them that it is not their fault, that it is not too late, and that they can learn? In this film screening and talk session, we will discuss everyone's right to learn.
Guest speaker: Yoshifumi Soeda
Associate professor, Faculty of Humanities, Fukuoka University
Dr. Soeda is originally from Kadogawa, Miyazaki Prefecture. He specializes in education and has written many books and papers on night junior high school. He has been involved in the independent evening junior high schools. Currently, he is a supporter of Fukuoka Kibo Junior High School, the only public night junior high school in Kyushu. He is also the executive director of Japan Society for the Study of Basic Education and Literacies, a board member of the Kitakyushu Public Night Junior High School, as well as Evening Junior High School Promotion and Enhancement Committee within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
