Education & Outreach Volunteer
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Education & Outreach Volunteer to join our Education and Outreach team!
As an E & O Volunteer at Blooming Boulevards, you will assist us as we develop and expand our public engagement programs, both within and outside of our organization.
There are opportunities for those who prefer direct hands-on work as well as for those who would like to help in planning and managing projects.

If you are an enthusiastic, outgoing person interested in working together as a team and connecting with the public, we would love to meet with you!
Blooming Boulevards has an active community outreach program.
Opportunities for your involvement:
You will join our Education & Outreach Committee and attend its meetings. Note that committee meetings are called as needed, and may vary in frequency depending on the season. Busiest gardening seasons: early spring through late summer. Busiest education and outreach seasons: early spring.through late fall. Busiest communications seasons: year-round.

As an active E&O volunteer, you may choose your own level of participation in the areas you wish, according to your ability and available time.
• Communications - assist with newsletter and/or social media output - we are looking for good blog and press release writers.
• Events - help make events go smoothly
• Fundraising  - help with tasks associated with fundraising
• Programs - help with administration tasks such as scheduling appointments and assisting with project management.
• Gardening (February to November) - help with gardening tasks



Volunteers with interest, skill and experience in the following areas are preferred:
• Previous experience in working with groups of people
• Experience in developing equity, diversity, inclusion & accessibility programming
• Outgoing, good communicator - writing skills an asset
• Good time-management skills
• Experience in social media content production is a big plus
• A strong interest in native plants, pollinators, biodiversity and conservation
