Vision statements provide a compelling description of the desired future that the Alberta Whitewater Association / organization is striving for, or the ideal state that might exist (to what end), if the organization achieved total success in all it does.

A vision statement should:

·       Be clear and simple

·       Avoids elaborate language and buzz words

·       Be easily explained by those involved

·       Not be confused with a mission statement

·       Describes an ideal or preferred future and what total success looks like.

·       Be inspiring and describes long term change.
