About the Benefits: Benefits of Yoga and Dance training include: enhanced fitness and movement facility, stress release and mental health benefits, improvements in balance, flexibility and poise, (and of course laughter, friendship and fun!) New for 2023, Maple Street is adding Creative Open Studio on Tuesdays.
About the Teacher: Christina-Marie Sears, RYT 500, and MFA, is a professional dancer for over 20 years, and a Lecturer or Visiting Professor of Dance in many colleges and universities, including Wayne State, U of M Flint, Towson University of Baltimore and many others. Christina-Marie offering Private lessons, semi-privates and small group lessons to vaccinated students. Yoga, SOMA dance, Tap Dance and Ballet Technique are all on offer for 2023.
Spaces for classes are: Maple Street Studios, and other spaces as needed or desired. Semi private lessons begin at $45 for an in-person, 45 minute lesson. Other rates and studios are available. If I rent a studio, additional costs may apply. Just inquire.
Modifications: It's easy to get involved, and modifications to class activities may be made if your body or personal situation requires that. Christina-Marie has training in special ed and adaptive art, and is certified by Yoga Alliance. Stairs are required at Maple Street, but nearby studios (with elevator) are available for rent.
Payment: Maple Street Studios operates on a social justice sliding scale. Private lessons begin at $45 for an in-person, 45 minute lesson. Group lessons are more affordable. If studying yoga at Maple Street,, love donations can be offered. On-Line lessons may be available. Your tuition payment is accepted in many ways: cash or credit card through Venmo or Paypal.
