Acceptable types of art will typically be on paper, canvas, or other substrate. We encourage artists that are students, amateurs, up-and-coming, established, and famous to join us. Mediums such as oils, acrylics, pastel, pen and ink, photography, collage, digital, fiber, mono prints, wood cuts, etc. Sculpture and 3D art is also welcome, provided that it does not pose a safety concern if broken.
Display screens (wire grid design) will be available for rent. They can be hung from the edge of your tent or be standing. Each set is two grids. One set can give you 2 hanging sections. Standing sets can be attached to your tent for stability. There is a limited quantity available. Single set $10 / two sets $15.

The art market space will be approx. 12’ x 12’ of paved surface.
Additional space given for artists creating a chalk art installation or live-painting demonstration.
AOTB will be located on lower Broadway between Grand St and Colden St.
Artist is responsible for any and all tent, table, and chairs needed. Be prepared for it being windy.
Art should be displayed in a fashion typical of an outdoor art fair.
Display screens will be available for rent. Single set $10 / 2 sets $15
Organizers reserve the right to decline any pieces of art deemed inappropriate for the event.
Your arrival starts at: 8:00 AM.
Your vehicle off-loading must be completed by: 9:30 AM.
Break down and removal of all goods must be completed by: 6:00 PM.
Organizers will provide promotional graphics that can be used for your social media.
Also provided will be a sign with your name on it marking your assigned location.
Restroom will be available inside Newburgh Mercantile.
Designated off street parking will be available for your vehicle.
Beverages will be provided by the organizer. Food truck(s) will also be onsite for your convenience.

2024 Participating Artist/Vendor Agreement and General Release:
Liability Waiver: I agree to rent a space as part of the “Art On The Block” (or AOTB) event to be held on Saturday May 11, 2024, or the rain date of Sunday May 12, 2024. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless "AOTB" Organizers, the City of Newburgh, Newburgh Mercantile, all sponsors and promotional partners, and any other unnamed sponsor and their respective officers, agents, board members, staff, volunteers, sponsors and assigns from any claims, damages, losses, liability or expense which may arise, and shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage due to fire, accident, theft, weather, acts of God, vandalism or any other loss or injury whatsoever or not specifically described herein, whether past, present or future.
Vendor Fee: I understand that the Artist Space Fee is Non-Refundable. Valid only May 11, 2024 or the rain date May 12, 2024.
Photos/images: Event Organizers reserve the right to utilize any and all photos taken during the event. I hereby authorized Event Organizers to publish photographs shared by me or taken of me on Saturday, May 11, 2024 or Sunday May 12, 2024, and my name and likeness, for use in the Event Organizers print, online and video-based marketing materials. I hereby release and hold harmless Event Sponsors from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality associated with the images specified above. Additionally, I agree that the Event organizers have the right to use any photos (or reproductions) of myself and the chalk art that I created on that day.
On the day of the festival each Chalk artist will be asked to chalk their sponsor’s logo underneath their piece as a thank you for the contribution of funds. The sponsor’s name and copy of their logo will be assigned to you the day of the festival.
