This form is to gauge volunteer interest in helping with various PTC events throughout the year. Some events are one-time, while other activities occur on a recurring basis.

Filling out this form does not commit you to helping with any event! It only tells us which event(s) you might be willing to volunteer for.

One-time events

Bingo Night (9/30) - Fun family event featuring our very own Mr. Hayhurst as the bingo caller. Help needed: supply purchasing; bingo card and prize table helpers at event; clean-up.

Jog-A-Thon (10/7) - Our biggest fundraiser of the year! Help needed: lap tracking; cheering; water station.

Book Fair (10/13-21 (ish)) - Book sale and library fundraiser! Help needed: sales shifts; set-up and tear-down; coordinator.

Trunk-or-Treat (10/28) - Dress up and trick-or-treat through the SME parking lot. Help needed: soliciting/organizing families to decorate their cars; event set-up; event monitoring.

Picture Day (10/24) - Smile! Help needed: runners to fetch classes.

Culture and Art Fair (11/17) - Share and learn about our awesome Sexton Mountain Community. Help needed: soliciting/organizing participants; event set-up and clean-up.

Movie Night (1/20) - Cozy up in the cafeteria and watch a movie with friends. Help needed: obtaining movie showing permission; event set-up.

Book Fair (2/20-27(ish)) - Book sale and library fundraiser! Help needed: sales shifts; set-up and tear-down; coordinator.

Talent Show (2/24) - Sexton Mountain's Got Talent! Help needed: wrangling/organizing participants; running "dress-rehearsal"; event set-up and clean-up.

STEM Fair (3/15) - Sexton Mountain loves science! Help needed: table set-up; hands-on activity planning and running; guest scientist/activity recruitment.

Staff Appreciation (5/1-5) - Help shower our amazing SME staff with love! Help needed: meal planning and acquisition; theme and decorations; raffle collections.

Carnival (and auction?) (5/19) - Super fun community celebration! Help needed: general coordinating; volunteer requirement; booth organization; vendor contacts; general help.

Run with the Eagle (6/3) - Community 5k and Kids Run! Help needed: day of bib distribution; course monitors; cheerers.

Recurring activities

Art Lit - District supported art enrichment program. Help needed: classroom lesson leaders.

Passport Club - Geography club. Help needed: general coordinating; monthly testers.

OBOB - Oregon Battle of the Books. Help needed: practice question writers; timers and scorekeepers; potential coordinator for future years.

Sparky's Running Club - Recess running club. Help needed: lap counters (using the marathon kids app) for each grade level lunch recess.

Clothes for Kids - BSD run clothes closet for BSD students. Help needed: volunteers to fill shifts at the BSD location helping families "shop" for clothes.

Dining for Dollars - Tasty community fundraiser. Help needed: schedule monthly dining for dollars events.

Lost & Found - Sparky's Lost & Found. Help needed: monthly check for labeled items; sort and wash items at Winter/Spring/Summer break for donation.
