Turning the page: a best practise guide to writing cultural diversity in fiction
This UK Arts Council funded project offers insight into diversity in the publishing industry and guidance on tackling cultural appropriation and stereotyping in literature and how authors can approach writing characters outside of their ethnicity. The project comprises a series of free-to-view videos. These videos will be released over five weeks in October and November 2021, culminating in an online event with author and project leader Vaseem Khan where a free-to-download PDF guide accompanying the series will be launched. At that event Vaseem will offer further insight into the project and answer questions raised by these often highly-charged topics. To be kept informed of the release schedule of the videos, the PDF, and the final launch event please register below. Your data will be held in accordance with GDPR regulations.
