Please use this form to offer yourself or to suggest other people in relevant professions, experts in specific fields, and makers/artists with skills that our students might find interesting or useful, and who you feel would be good at sharing stories with, mentoring, or offering internships to our students at Trillium Academy.

There is also a field for you to recommend an idea for a Praxis project. If a student is interested in that project, they can then seek an expert to support them. If you are using this form to submit a Praxis Project idea, feel free to skip the questions about experts.

These are the programs for which we are seeking experts:
  • Incubator is a speaker series in which guests tell high school students about their field of work, interesting challenges, and their career journey. Our goal is to connect our students with their future possibilities so they can begin to imagine and prototype who they are becoming. (Duration: 1 hour on a Wednesday; 9:20-10:20 AM or 10:25-11:25 AM)
  • Makers share their personal stories, demonstrate skills, and work side by side with students in our MakerSpace (grades 4-6, 7/8, or 9-12) to empower them to see themselves as makers, crafters, and designers of their own worlds. (Duration: 1-3 hours)
  • Praxis Experts share their expertise with individual high school students in support of their year-long Praxis projects. Duration: One or more meetings from mid-quarter 2-  quarter 4 (from December - May) Optional: Expert Internship as part of Praxis if Expert has the capacity to offer this. This would offer our 11th and 12th graders real-world work experience in appropriate fields with guidance, training and evaluative feedback. Duration: varies, but at least a few hours/week for at least a few months.
