OM CHANTING PROGRAM SIGN-UP
WHAT IS THE OM CHANTING PROGRAM?
A great opportunity for children (AGES 6 and up), and adults to learn our sacred prayers and famous shlokas. It is open to all. This program awards those who put in the personal effort to learn to chant fluently.

AWARDS
Each participant will get their personalized FRAMED RIBBON PORTFOLIO by registering, as well as ribbons and medals as they progress.  

WHAT WILL BE LEARNED?
Various prayers starting with basic invocation, daily and devata prayers, all the way up to Vishnu Sahasranaama, Vedic chanting and famous shlokas from Bhagavad Gita!

HOW WILL THEY LEARN?
 1. Children of Chinmaya Toronto Bala Vihar will learn in their weekly classes.
 2. Periodic Tutoring classes open to all focusing on basic foundation prayers (ribbon 1 and 2) 
 3. Learn on your own through audio and PDF resources on our website (https://chinmayatoronto.org/om-chanting)
 4. Special classes will be offered periodically for longer chants (i.e. Vishnu Sahasranaama); these will earn special medals.
 
COST
The program is FREE, EXCEPT FOR THE COST OF THE FRAME (we just cover the cost of the frame). Details below.

The Frame will be used to make a RIBBON PORTFOLIO for each participant. We will print a portfolio with the participant's name and place it in each frame, Participants can add ribbons to the frame as they go along.  This is a picture of the $18 white frame with a sample portfolio. 
If we are purchasing your frame, upon submission of your form, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a unique and secure payment link. Please enter your payment information to complete and confirm your registration. It is suggested you take a screenshot of your payment confirmation for further follow-up, if required.

Please note: The first two ribbons (Foundation Prayers) must be earned first. After which, participants become eligible to earn any of the additional ribbons/medals.

A TUTORING CLASS is starting at the end September to learn the required Foundation Prayers (First and Second Ribbons). Class will be twice a week for 20 minutes. This Class will run for 8 weeks. We recommend joining, since there are Vedic mantras which must be chanted perfectly (Svara and pronunciation). Are you interested in joining? *
