UBarU Church-wide Retreat – weekend at UBarU in Central Texas: March 31-April 2. Friday is a day off for HISD schools, so that’s why we chose this weekend. If you can take off Friday from work, then do!
A Meeting House for various activities and where meals are served, another meeting area for workshops, a large fire circle, two labyrinths, an outdoor chapel and hiking trails.
These are the workshops/activities we have planned so far:
· Getting to Know each other Games
· Mindful reflection/walking the labyrinth
· Campfire singing/Storytelling/Talent Show

Cost per person (includes workshops, sleeping spaces and these meals: dinner on Friday, 3 meals Saturday, breakfast Sunday). $145 for adults/teens and $100 for children up to 11 years. We will get a van, if there are those interested in riding together: there's a separate cost for transportation. Partial scholarships are available upon request through First UU, contact

COVID safety will include optional mask wearing buildings and depending on the level, we may ask for rapid tests to attend. No one who has symptoms should come. We require vaccinations for all (ages 5 and up) and boosters within 5-6 months to attend.
Accommodation -All buildings are equipped with Wi-Fi and air conditioning/heat. Each suite sleeps 12-15 guests – a bunkroom with four bunkbeds and two private rooms each featuring one queen bed and a bunkbed. There are the Durbin Family Suite, the Ertha Suite, Clower Suite and Community UU Suite. You may also bring your own tent. There are 2 hook-ups for RVs too. Please make your requests to us and we will do our best to accommodate needs. We hope to save the private rooms for those who most need them.
