Description: Learn how to implement a high-impact summer transition program.  We will show you how to build a targeted 4-6 week 8-9th grade summer transition program aimed at strengthening preparation for high school for high-risk 8th graders.  We believe that for optimal impact, the program should focus on foundational academic skills in ELA and Math while also building the SEL skills known to impact student achievement at the high school level. We will show you how to use your 8th grade early warning indicator data to identify incoming 9th graders at high risk of failure to invite to participate in the program.
