Join Dick Brothers Brewery in partnership with Quincy Brewing Company for our first ever MayFest at 929 York St. in the heart of Quincy, IL. The event continues a tradition of celebrating Quincy's German Heritage and pays homage to the Brewery's History. MayFest is a family-friendly sister event to Oktoberfest held in the fall, which also partners with local vendors and has an average of 5,000 attendees from across the tri-state area for the day.

Mayfest (or Maifest in Germany) is the traditional German celebration of the arrival of spring. Mayfest is still celebrated throughout Germany with the maibaum (maypole) decorated to show off the history and crafts of the town. Mayfest, similar to Oktoberfest, has now become a popular celebration throughout the world. As part of MayFest, Home brewers will be featured from 1-3pm inside Dick Brothers Brewery Bottle House. Attendees will pay to enter and sample. Home brewers will need to provide 5 gallons of beer for guests to sample. Up to two beers per brewer may be entered in the contest. $200 cash prize for best of show voted upon by attendees. $100 for the runner up and $50 for second runner up.
