AWE Fund Panel Discussion Speaker Self-Nomination form
The Archival Workers Emergency Fund Organizing Committee hosts occasional panel discussions on aspects of the archival profession. For the 2021 panel discussion slate, we are interested in organizing panel discussions to address topics including:

- Students and new professionals during the pandemic
- Pandemic impacts on archival workers
- Labor and union organizing
- Environmental sustainability
- Survival mode: Alternative career paths for archival workers
- Possibly other topics TBD

We are seeking a diverse range of perspectives and experiences on our panels from student to administrator level workers, in rural to urban settings across a variety of archival institutions and archives-adjacent fields. BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and people with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply.

AWE Fund Organizing Committee events build solidarity and raise money for the fund. Donations received from people who register for each event are split between the AWE Fund and the panelists.

Submissions will be received on a rolling basis but we encourage anyone interested in possibly participating to please submit their information as soon as possible, since it takes several months to plan and prepare each session. AWE Fund organizers will invite selected applicants to participate in the panel discussions.
