Thanks for your interest in volunteering! The Hornbeam Centre is a community food hub, currently partnering with The Gleaners who run the community cafe. We cannot do the work we do for our community without volunteers so we appreciate your wanting to get involved.

The pandemic has forced us to change the way we work and we are now running as two distinct things:
The Gleaners Community Cafe - pay-what-you-feel, cooking from surplus.
The Hornbeam hub - surplus food redistribution, supporting other community food groups in the borough, setting up food coops with residents, partnering on community food projects. We also run weekly wellbeing walks and Good Deeds on Bikes, but those have their own volunteer sign-up forms.

If you are able to commit to a period of time (2 months minimum, however many times you can come within this period) then please fill in the form below!

We will contact you within 2 weeks to arrange an induction.

PLEASE NOTE: volunteering is Monday - Friday with either a morning shift (10am - 1pm) or an afternoon shift (1pm - 3 or 5pm, depending on the role)
