Big Garden Birdwatch Buxton
27-29 January 2023
This year marks the 44th year of Big Garden Birdwatch and it is now the world’s largest wildlife survey.
"The Birdwatch is a truly phenomenal collective effort and it is thanks to the hundreds of thousands of people like you taking part that we have over four decades of data. This gives a fascinating and unique insight into our garden birds and how they are faring right across the UK." RSPB

Whilst this data is an invaluable record of national and regional trends, we would love to build a picture of Buxton's birds by gathering your local counts.
This form is for submitting your Big Garden Bird Watch figures to Buxton Civic Association, to provide important data for our town.
How to take part
- Count birds in your garden for 1 hour on 27, 28 or 29 January 2023.
- Record the maximum number of each species seen at any one time.
- Fill in this form to share your results with BCA.
- PLEASE ALSO SUBMIT YOUR RESULTS TO THE RSPB since this form is just for sharing your results to BCA.
Under each bird image, add the maximum number seen in your garden at one time during the hour long count. If you did not see the species, leave the question blank.
At the end there is a section for you to list any other species seen.
